CENTRICA

Centrica, formerly Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, is a Kalamazoo-based non-profit organization that offers a wide range of nursing, medical, social, and grief support services for individuals in advanced stages of illness and their families. Centrica purchased an existing 30,000-square-foot office building in Portage, Michigan, to create a new Adult daycare program and provide a permanent home for its Grief and Loss program. The $2.3-million project included the demolition and reconstruction of interior spaces, as well as a new entrance canopy and an outdoor courtyard. The project started in January 2009 and was completed in July 2009.
